Merry Wanderers
A boy seeks solace in the woods after the loss of his brother. With his best friend by his side, they embark on a wild adventure. Meanwhile Oberon and Titania, King and Queen of the Faeries, squabble over the soul of the deceased boy and, as other children appear, both worlds collide when the mischievous Puck gets involved. Mayhem and confusion follow with unexpected and hilarious results. Having faced his grief, the boy learns to embrace the love that has been right beside him all along. A retelling of a Shakespeare classic for the TikTok generation!
2022
Café van der Brocke
Café van der Brocke, a new play set in Ypres, during World War One was performed in 2022.
A few civilians are living in the cellars of buildings reluctant to leave their homes. Jan is waiting for the return of his father in the basement of an Ypres café. But tragedy looms closer as the shelling intensifies and Jan's cellar becomes home to an increasing number of young refugees. Escape is paramount but Jan is faced with even greater dangers from those close to him.
A talented young cast performed this dramatic and impassioned play at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe in August 2022. Receiving a 4 Star review and plenty of brilliant audience feedback, the play was a great success.
2019
Goodnight Mr Tom
In 2019 Aquila returned to Edinburgh with two shows, Lord of the Flies and Goodnight Mister Tom. Both of these classic stories played at the SpaceTriplex Big from 5th to 10th August. The response was incredible with large audiences, three 4 **** reviews and a wonderful company of actors.
Goodnight Mister Tom was performed at the Whitty Theatre in Wokingham in September 2019.

The War of Jenkins' Ear
In 2018 Aquila performed a new adaptation of Micheal Morpurgo's The War of Jenkins' Ear. The story about a boy who claims he is Jesus Christ takes place in a small boarding school. The show was a great success and received glowing reviews.
